Date set for Knype Pool 5 Mile Charity Race and Fun Run

Biddulph Running Club’s annual event, the Knype Pool 5 mile multi-terrain charity race (with 1 mile fun run) will be taking place on Sunday 24th February 2019. It will be held at Knypersley Pool and the main race (pre-entries only) will start at 11am with the fun run (entries on the day) starting at 10.15am. To enter the main race - go to www.biddulphrunningclub.co.uk or www.bookitzone.com. The race will be chip timed by Gold Events.

The entry fee for the main race is £10 (affiliated) (£12 non-affiliated) and it will be £2 to enter the fun run.

In the main race all finishers will receive a memento and there are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd men and ladies. There are prizes for veteran category men and ladies - V40, V50, V60 and V70. All fun runners will receive a medal.

This year the race will be sponsored by Biddulph Physiotherapy & Sport Injury Clinic, Parker Software, Sainsburys, Running Bear, Roy Beech, Bryan Dale Photography, Hollinshead Coaches, Biddulph Town Council and Staffordshire County Council. The club is very grateful for their generous support.

There will be a free Park and Ride service to and from the venue starting at 9am from Sainsbury’s car park to help to ease parking congestion and there will be soup and rolls, a charity cake stall, hot drinks and facilities at the race venue itself.

All proceeds from the race will go to the Biddulph Town Mayor’s chosen charities. This year these charities are Myeloma UK, Salvation Army Hostel (Stoke), Sanctus and Staffordshire Emergency Humanitarian Aid Association (SESHAA).

Places are selling fast so to take part in this exciting race runners will need to be quick and get their entry in as soon as possible. Further details may be found on the club’s website at www.biddulphrunningclub.co.uk.
